November 30, 2019: Washington 91 El Paso 83

                                      Donaldson Dominates the Paint

James Donaldson ( 15 points/ 13 boards) and Derek Smith ( 19 points/ 6 boards) led the Wizards to a 91-83 win over the El Paso Scorpions, the second win over El Paso during this road trip.

Washington led by 3 at the 1Q but trailed by 8 at the half.  The Wizards made some adjustments then cut the deficit to 2 at the end of the 3Q before taking off in the 4Q for a 8 point win.   The keys to victory were the tough D and a 28-19 advantage off the bench.

The Scorpion back court of Maurice Cheeks ( 20 points/6 assists/4 steals) and Michael Jordan (21points/6 rebounds/7 assists) gave the Wizards fits while  Mark Eaton ( 8 points/14 rebounds) and Larry Smith ( 8 points/10 rebounds) kept the game close.

" Our defense came to play tonight.  You have to have the desire and intensity to hold any team in the VBA under 100 so we will take the win and look forward to the next road trip.  We finished 3-5 on this road trip.  Our goal was to finish 4-4 so we have alot of room for improvement. "
